Their use is required in every industry right from paper industry, chemical industry and wind energy sectors – the main reason – they need less power. Usually, a jib crane is manufactured in a special way out of high quality materials to have a longer life.
Although, the advantages of these cranes are more, it is also mandatory that a few factors also have to be followed strictly. They should not be used to lift a weight more than what is specified. Operating the crane will be easy, but a check has to be conducted on the space the arm will occupy and there should not be any bent support or misalignment with the wires. The operator should have good knowledge of every feature such as the emergency stop button, arm’s range, and overload indicator.
